Analysis of the faecal microbiome early in the pre-transplant period by both advanced machine learning combined with deep phenotyping, in order to develop predictive algorithms to enable the early pre-transplant identification of individual patients at high-risk for severe GVHD, enhance our understanding of early immune dysregulated pathways, that would be amenable to focused pre-transplant treatment in high-risk individuals.
