Dr O’Donovan practices in gastroenterology with a special interest in: gastrointestinal functional disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer screening. Her clinical interests are gastrointestinal functional disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer screening.
Dr O’Donovan graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1996 and subsequently obtained her MRCP (UK). She completed a research fellowship in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia and was conferred with a PhD in Medicine in 2005 from University College Cork. She was awarded an MA in Healthcare Management in 2006. She obtained her certificate of completion of Specialist training in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine in 2007. She is co-author of 27 peer reviewed papers and 4 book chapters.

Dr O’Donovan completed a research fellowship in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia. Current membership: Irish Society of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association.
