Commenced work in The Galway clinic in 2018 and provides outpatient and inpatient care. Special interests include management of menstrual disorders, menopause, urogynaecology, abnormal cervical smears, gynaecological imaging and advanced hysteroscopic surgery. An interest in Clinical Governance with lead roles in Audit and Clinical Care Pathway Development (national awards). Founder member of International critical care course: Managing Obstetric Emergencies & Trauma (MOET)
Graduate of Queen's University, Belfast with Honours in Obstetrics & Gynaecology; MRCOG 1990; FRCOG 2002; MD by thesis - Colposcopy based; Diploma in Advanced Ultrasound (RCOG & RCR); Member of British Society for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology, training accredited in 1997
A randomised controlled trial evaluating a novel cytotoxic drug delivery system for the treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. This was a clinical project. Venue: Colposcopy Clinic and Department of Pathology at Belfast City Hospital. The study showed that the delivery system was effective and paved the way for further drug research using this mechanism.
