Dr Mary Shuhaibar is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist. She graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2001 and completed her basic and higher specialist training in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physician Ireland.

Dr Shuhaibar completed her PhD in Inflammatory Bowel Disease in 2016 from Trinity College Dublin. Dr Shuhaibar was appointed as a Lecturer in Clinical Medicine and Gastroenterology at Trinity College Dublin for four years.

She completed her fellowship in IBD and endoscopy from Oxford, UK prior to her return as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Dublin in 2016. 

She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Ireland in 2018. 

Dr Shuhaibar has been involved in multiple research projects both nationally and internationally and had multiple research publications and collaborations in the field of IBD and bowel screening and colorectal cancer. 

She is a member of the Irish Society of Gastroenterology and European Crohn’s Colitis Organisation.

Dr Shuhaibar completed her fellowship in IBD and endoscopy from Oxford, UK prior to her return as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Dublin in 2016. 

She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Ireland in 2018.
