Dr Michael Wilkinson MB Bch BAO, MD, MSc, MRCOG, MRCPI Dr Michael Wilkinson is a highly qualified and experienced consultant gynaecologist and gynaecological oncologist. In pursuit of providing compassionate care to women, he has dedicated his career to the diagnosis and treatment of women’s health issues. Dr Michael Wilkinson received his degree with first class honours in medicine from University College Cork in 2010. During the course of Dr Wilkinson’s training he has worked in leading hospitals in Ireland and abroad. Between 2021 to 2023 he completed a surgical fellowship in gynaecological oncology at the Queensland centre for Gynaecological cancer, Brisbane, Australia which serves a population of over 6 million people. During this time he harnessed the skills necessary to deliver world class care in the management of gynaecological cancers using the most advanced techniques in open, ‘key hole’ and robotic surgery. All the while, during his training and now in clinical practice, Dr Wilkinson has maintained a keen interest in research with several publications in peer reviewed Journals. In 2014, Dr Wilkinson received first class honours in his Masters in obstetrics and Gynaecology from University College Cork and in 2021 he was awarded a MD for his thesis on ‘Obesity related endometrial cancer’ from University College Dublin. Dr Wilkinson is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Irish Society of Gynaecological Oncology, European Society of Gynaecological Oncology and the Royal College of physicians of Ireland. Dr Wilkinson is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care to his patients. He has a special interest in the management of gynaecological cancers as well as the care of women who have a genetic predisposition to gynaecological cancer. He is highly skilled in the medical and surgical management of endometriosis and is committed to developing care plan that fully address patients’ needs.
