Dr Barrett trained in world-class centres in New York, California and Sydney and is an internationally recognised expert in heart disease prevention and cardiovascular risk management. His work focuses on the prevention of cardiovascular disease with the goal of extending lifespan and improving quality of life.
Dr Barrett has a particular interest in cholesterol management, metabolic syndrome and lifestyle approaches to cardiovascular health. Dr Barrett's work also focuses on medical innovation and he has worked with NASA evaluating medical technologies in the zero-gravity environment. His work has been featured in the world's leading scientific and health journals, including the Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, the New York Academy of Sciences and Time Health.
