I am a Consultant Cardiologist based in Tallaght University Hospital with a special interest in Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, Heart Failure, and Devices. I lead the newly developed Integrated Care Programme providing community cardiology services to the largest population in Ireland.
Graduate of Trinity College, Dublin with Honours (2nd Class). I completed basic medical training, MRCPI membership and subsequent higher specialist training in Ireland, before undertaking 3 international fellowships. Cardiac CT in the Royal Brompton Hospital, London; Cardiac MRI in St Thomas' Hospital, London; and Heart Failure and Devices in St Georges Hospital, London.
My research focus has been on Advanced Cardiac Imaging, especially with Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI, in which area I have developed and patented a novel CT technology. I have peer reviewed publications in Journal of Cardiac CT, American Journal of Cardiology and Open Heart.
Three cardiology fellowships in some of the most respected international hospitals worldwide. I completed 3 years of fellowships in the Royal Brompotn Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital and St Georges Hospital.
