Dr. Róisín Hambly is a Consultant Dermatologist on the specialist register of the Irish Medical Council.
Her clinical interests include inflammatory skin diseases such as acne, rosacea, eczema (atopic dermatitis), psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa, as well as skin cancer management.

- Higher specialist training in dermatology through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI).
- PhD in clinical and scientific dermatology research from University College Dublin (UCD) as part of the Irish Clinical Academic Training (ICAT) programme
Dr Hambly’s PhD research, funded by the Wellcome Trust and Health Research Board ICAT programme, focused on exploring novel immunological pathways in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) — a debilitating skin condition — and identifying potential therapeutic targets. She has presented her work at both national and international conferences, where she was awarded a national dermatology research prize.
She has published in high-impact dermatology journals, serves as an expert peer reviewer for several dermatology journals, and has worked as a sub-investigator in international clinical trials for hidradenitis suppurativa and atopic dermatitis.
