Dr Shaikh graduated in Medicine in 1983 from Sind Medical College in Karachi in Pakistan.He trained in Pakistan, UK and Ireland. He has European Board Certification in Dermatology and Venereology. This is a "Certificate of Excellence" and is the "Best Qualification in Dermatology" in Europe. He is practicing as a Consultant Dermatologist in Ireland for many years and is on the Specialist Register of the Medical Council of Ireland in the Speciality of Dermatology. He has extensive knowledge in the diagnosis and management of all skin conditions. His main areas of interest are common skin conditions like Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis and Urticaria/Allergies. He also performs dermatological surgery procedures for the removal of moles, pigmented lesions, skin cancers and other skin lesions.
Dr Shaikh has the following Professional Qualifications: MBBS- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery. MRCP(UK)- Member of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom. FRCP(Lond)- Fellow of Royal Collrge of Physicians of London. FRCP(Edin)- Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. FRCP(Glasg)- Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. FACP- Fellow of Americian College of Physicians(USA). Dip.Derm.(Glasg)- Diploma in Dermatology of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Board Certified European Board of Dermatology and Venereology (Germany). LMCC- Licentiate Medical Council of Canada.
Dr. Shaikh's research interests are: Management of Acne and Psoriasis, Epidemiology and management of skin tumours.
Dr Shaikh has been awarded Fellowships of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Americian College of Physicians.
