Dr. Yahya Kamal is a fellow of Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in London. He has been working in Ireland since 1996, with over 30 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.
He obtained his medical degree in 1989, from University of Karachi, Pakistan and has been a member and trainer of the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. He was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda and the Louth County Hospital Dundalk in July 2010, and served as a Lead Colposcopist at the North East Regional Colposcopy Unit Dundalk from January 2010. He has been working as a Consultant Gynaecologist in the Rotunda Hospital Dublin since May 2011. Dr. Kamal is actively involved in Irish National Cervical Screening Programme and he is one of the leading consultants at the Colposcopy Unit, Rotunda Hospital Dublin. He performs two Colposcopy Clinics per week at the Rotunda Hospital Dublin and private Colposcopy in his rooms here at Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic.
Dr. Kamal has published a variety of his gynaecology clinical papers in different national and international journals.
Dr. Kamal spent five years working as a Specialist Registrar in several teaching hospitals in Ireland and obtained CSCST (certificate of satisfactory completion of specialist training) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has been an Assistant Master at both the Coombe Womens University Hospital and Rotunda Hospital, between 2008 and 2010.
