He was appointed to the National Higher Surgical Training Scheme in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2005 and obtained an RCS Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2009. Awarded a CCT in 2011, Mr Doyle was appointed as a Fellow in the prestigious Royal, Devon and Exeter Hospital, UK, where he received specialist training in lower limb arthroplasty including revision surgery. He was subsequently appointed as a Consultant in RD&E University Hospital in 2002.
Mr. Doyle graduated in 1998 having obtained an academic scholarship to University College Dublin Medical School. Awarded a 1st Class Honours MSc from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2001, he completed basic surgical training in AMNCH and was awarded an Associate Fellowship, RCSI in 2002.
