Ms. Edel Madden

Edel Madden, Physiotherapist Manager, MSc Sports Med, BSc (Hons) Physio, MISCP, MCSP. CORU Reg No.: PT028977

Edel is the Physiotherapist Manager at Blackrock Health Galway Clinic. She is a Trinity College Dublin graduate and went on to complete a Master's in Sports Medicine at the University of Nottingham, UK. Edel has also worked in Australia and the United Kingdom. She was a Lecturer Practitioner at Birmingham University, UK and has worked with professional & amateur athletes.  She returned to Ireland in 2004 to set up and lead the physiotherapy service at Galway Clinic. Participation in the MSc Sports Medicine course and academic employment at the University of Birmingham has furnished her with knowledge and skills in clinical practice, research, teaching and team leadership. She has also undertaken a range of projects and learning activities to ensure her professional portfolio in leadership, lean management training and clinical skills remain patient and team-focused.
