Ms. Elaine Burke

Elaine is our Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She graduated from University of Limerick in 2010 with BSc Hons in Physiotherapy. Upon graduating, she worked in acute hospital and private practice settings in Ireland. She then travelled and worked in Australia, gaining valuable experience in treating a diverse range of patients.

Elaine has been working as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in Galway Clinic since 2015. She has completed post graduate courses in Dry Needling, Pilates, SSMP (Shoulder Modification Protocol), Mulligan Concept of Mobilisation, Shockwave therapy and orthotic prescription. She has a Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy. 

Elaine specialises in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, including pre and post-operative orthopaedic surgeries (hip and knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs), ACL rehabilitation, along with other conditions such as lower back, foot and shoulder pain. She performs isokinetic testing and rehabilitation for athletes prior to return to sport. She also assesses patients for foot orthotics. She is trained in the use of Shockwave therapy, which can be an effective treatment for chronic tendon and muscular pain. Elaine is CORU registered and a member of the ISCP.
