Since then, she has worked both publicly and privately in Ireland, the UK and Australia, gaining experience in all areas of physiotherapy before joining the Galway Clinic in 2014. Megan is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health and Continence and has led the Pelvic Health and Continence Physiotherapy service at the Galway Clinic since 2017. She also set up the pre- and post-prostatectomy service for Men’s Health at the Galway Clinic in 2017.
Megan completed a Post-Graduate Accredited Certificate in Women’s Health in 2021 at the University of Bradford. She has also completed additional training in acupuncture, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation and manual therapy of the pelvic floor, and is a certified APPI matwork Pilates instructor.
Megan is a member of the ISCP (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists) and is a CORU registered practitioner. She is also a full international member of POGP (Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy) and is a committee member of the Pelvic Health and Continence (CPPHC) clinical interest group with the ISCP.
Megan feels very fortunate to work in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy as our awareness and knowledge of Pelvic Health conditions expands and evolves. She enjoys advocating for patients and being a part of their rehabilitative journey to return to the activities and exercise they enjoy. She firmly believes in the importance of clinical research and education, leads and participates regularly in research projects at the Galway Clinic in Pelvic Health and Continence, and engages in continuous professional development to deliver the best service to our patients.
