Nessa is a CORU registered physiotherapist and completed her physiotherapy degree at University of Liverpool in 2002. She completed a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in University of Queensland, Australia. After qualification she worked in acute hospital settings in Aintree University Hospital NHS Trust and in Mater Misercoridae University Hospital where she completed her rotations before specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
She has completed post graduate courses in dry needling, cognitive functional therapy, spinal studies (European Diploma in Interdisciplinary Spinal Studies) and Pilates (Stott registered instructor). She has taught on the undergraduate and Master’s physiotherapy programmes in UCD.
Nessa has a special interest in rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, spinal pain and management of chronic pain conditions. She takes a holistic and patient-centred approach to health and uses a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, pain management and exercise therapy in rehabilitation of a wide variety of conditions.
